IFSTTAR comprises 5 main technical departments active in research and expertise in the fields of civil engineering, construction materials, transport infrastructure, geotechnical engineering, measurement, automation and systems associated to transport and road safety.
IFSTTAR is active in promoting and qualifying innovative materials and techniques related to sustainable
construction, and management of networks, energy facilities and transport infrastructure
